Apple TV+’s gripping new crime series, Smoke, will make its global debut on the platform tomorrow, on Friday, June 27. Starring and executive produced by Emmy Award nominee Taron Egerton and created by Dennis Lehane, the series will premiere with its first two episodes. The nine-episode drama will be followed by a new episode every Friday through August 15.

Alongside Egerton, the cast includes Jurnee Smollett, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Greg Kinnear, Rafe Spall, and Anna Chlumsky. The executive producers for the series are Dennis Lehane, Richard Plepler, Bradley Thomas, Marc Smerling, and Joe Chappelle.

Smoke was created by Lehane, who serves as writer and executive producer. The fictional series is inspired by truth.media’s acclaimed Firebug podcast, hosted by Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Kary Antholis, who is also the executive producer.
