Nichole Chase’s novel The Accidental Assassin is set to be adapted into a TV series by Amazon MGM Studios.

The series will be developed by Drew Lindo (Quantum Leap, Reign) and Azie Tesfai (Supergirl).

The story follows Ava Dumont, a woman who always plays it safe, until she travels to London and encounters Owen Walker, a professional assassin. When she accidentally kills his target, the two opposites are forced to work together in a partnership that blurs the line between right and wrong.

Drew Lindo (Hung, Reign, The 100) will serve as showrunner, writer, and executive producer, while Azie Tesfai (Supergirl, The Chase) will co-write and executive produce. Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files) and Adrian Banyard (Black Mirror) will also join as executive producers.

The Accidental Assassin is the first book in The Assassins series. Nichole Chase is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author with more than fourteen novels, novellas, and short stories.
