Gomorrah: The Origins, the prequel to the internationally acclaimed series Gomorrah, has begun its global rollout.

The six-hour crime epic has been sold by Beta Film to major broadcasters and platforms including HBO Max Germany and Turkey, SBS Australia, STUDIOCANAL France, ORF Austria, TET Latvia, and Nova Greece.

The HBO Max Germany deal also includes the original series and the feature film The Immortal, making the full franchise available across multiple European territories.

The series recently premiered on Sky Italia and is streaming on NOW, with a UK launch on Sky scheduled soon.

Marco D’Amore, lead actor of the original series, directed the first four episodes and served as co-writer and artistic supervisor.

Set in Naples in 1977, the story explores the early life of Camorra boss Don Pietro Savastano, focusing on ambition, power, and moral conflict.

The series is created by Leonardo Fasoli, Maddalena Ravagli, and Roberto Saviano, and produced by Sky Studios and Cattleya (ITV Studios).

Continuing the legacy of Gomorrah, the prequel emphasizes authenticity through local dialect, real locations, and a character-driven, gritty narrative.

Beta Film handles international sales for all titles in the Gomorrah franchise.
