HBO Max has released the first trailer for Task, an HBO Original series from Emmy-nominated Mare of Easttown creator Brad Ingelsby. The show premieres September 7 on HBO Max.
Set in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the series follows an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) who leads a security task force to stop a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey).
The ensemble cast features Mark Ruffalo, Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones, Jamie McShane, Sam Keeley, Thuso Mbedu, Fabien Frankel, Alison Oliver, Raúl Castillo, Silvia Dionicio, Phoebe Fox, and Martha Plimpton.
Brad Ingelsby serves as creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer. Jeremiah Zagar and Salli Richardson-Whitfield direct and also serve as executive producers.
Task is set to air on September 7 on HBO Max.
