With its second season, Hijack sharpens its crime-thriller edge, unfolding a tense subway hostage crisis that tests both strategy and survival.

First episode was released on Jan. 14, following episodes will air weekly, and the season will conclude on March 8.

Elba returns as Sam Nelson, a business man and negotiator. The second season focuses on a hostage crisis in the Berlin subway.

Speaking about the role, which earned him a 2024 Emmy nomination, Elba said: “Psychologically, I was trying to put him in a very different place. Physically, there is a difference in the way he looks compared to Season 1, and that was intentional. As the season unfolds, you realize this is a broken man trying to find answers.”

Hijack season 2 is now streaming on Apple TV+.
