The Peaky Blinders universe continues to expand, with a brand-new sequel series officially announced.

Jamie Bell steps into the role of Duke Shelby, placing the character at the center of the story, while Charlie Heaton joins as one of the leading figures of this new generation narrative. The cast also includes Jessica Brown Findlay, Lashana Lynch, and Lucy Karczewski.

Created by Steven Knight, the series is set in 1950s Birmingham, in the aftermath of World War II. The story takes place roughly a decade after the events of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, following a more mature, ambitious, and dangerous Duke Shelby as he navigates a rapidly changing world.

“I am thrilled that we are announcing a new era of Peaky Blinders, moving the story to post-war Birmingham in the early 50s,” series’ writer and creator Knight said. “We are incredibly fortunate to have Jamie Bell taking the role of Tommy Shelby’s oldest son, Duke, and to have Charlie Heaton also leading the cast. There are more exciting cast announcements to come, and Peaky is on the road again.”

Produced as a collaboration between the BBC and Netflix, the project has already received a two-season order. Filming has begun in Birmingham, with the first episode directed by Mike Barker.

Set against the backdrop of a city rebuilding after the war, the series explores a brutal struggle where power, opportunity, and danger collide at every turn.
