Netflix has announced the premiere date and unveiled the first poster for She Walks in Darkness, a political thriller written and directed by Agustín Díaz Yanes (Alatriste). The film will debut in theaters on October 3 and will be added to the Netflix catalogue on October 17.

Inspired by the most significant undercover operation ever carried out against ETA, She Walks in Darkness is set in the 1990s and 2000s and recounts the mission that ultimately marked a turning point in Spain’s fight against terrorism. The story follows Amaia (Susana Abaitua), a young Civil Guard officer who spends over a decade undercover inside the terrorist organization, determined to uncover hidden weapons caches called “zulos” in southern France.

She Walks in Darkness

She Walks in Darkness is shot across various locations in the Spanish and French Basque Country. Along with Abaitua, the film features Andrés Gertrúdix, Iraia Elias, Raúl Arévalo, and Ariadna Gil. The film is produced by Belén Atienza, Sandra Hermida, and J.A. Bayona, the team who have collaborated before in another Spanish original on Netflix, Society of the Snow.
