Murder Your Darlings is being developed as a feature film by Rohm Feifer Entertainment.

The project is based on Jenna Blum’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name. The story centers on novelist Simone “Sam” Vetiver, who is struggling with writer’s block and going through a divorce. Sam becomes involved in an intense and unsettling relationship with celebrated author William Corwyn.

As the story unfolds, a mysterious stalker targeting William and a series of deaths within a writers’ group push the narrative into full psychological thriller territory.

Murder Your Darlings adaptation is written by Barbara Nance and produced by Elisabeth Rohm and Kara Feifer, who previously collaborated on adaptations such as Wife Stalker and Husband, Father, Killer.

Rohm Feifer Entertainment, founded in 2023, focuses on female-driven, character-led, and real-life–inspired stories.

The company currently has more than 50 projects in development with partners including Lionsgate, NBC, Fox, and Mattel.
