‘Bone Parish’: Starz to Adapt Supernatural Crime Graphic Novel

1 min read

Starz is officially developing a television series adaptation of Bone Parish, the popular supernatural crime graphic novel created by writer Cullen Bunn and illustrator Jonas Scharf.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is set to executive produce the project through his G-Unit Film & Television banner, further solidifying his long-standing and highly successful partnership with the network, which already includes the expanding Power universe and the upcoming boxing crime drama Fightland premiering on July 31.

Serving as co-showrunners and executive producers are Diane Ademu-John and Declan de Barra, a duo well-regarded for their work on high-profile genre hits like Dune: Prophecy and The Witcher: Blood Origin.

Set against the atmospheric backdrop of New Orleans’ dark underworld, Bone Parish follows the Winters family as they construct a lucrative crime empire centered around a bizarre and potent new drug crafted entirely from the ashes of the dead.

This substance grants its users vivid, hauntingly realistic visions of the past; however, as global demand begins to skyrocket, the family must navigate closing-in rival factions, deadly hidden secrets, and terrifying supernatural forces that drag them deeper into an inescapable, violent nightmare of horror and family legacy.
