Prime Video has ordered a six-part limited series adaptation of Stephen King’s London-set short story Crouch End during the Edinburgh TV Festival.
Prime Video said the greenlight makes this the first time that a story from the horror and supernatural author Stephen King has been produced in the UK.
What is Crouch End about?
The short story follows a famous actress. She bursts into a police station claiming strange phenomena are behind the disappearance of her husband. Police must investigate whether or not she’s telling the truth, whether she could be a murderer, or whether there’s something even more chilling at play.
Who are the creators of the series?
The limited series written by Paul Tomalin is produced by Mammoth Screen and Fifth Season. Tom Shankland is directing and executive producing the series. Tomalin, Damien Timmer, Rebecca Keane and Ben Irving.
What are the other new UK-produced shows Prime Video unveiled?
Prime Video also ordered The Crouches, The Boys of Tommen, Bait, Clarkson’s Farm, The Girlfriend, Steal, My Fault: London and Last One Laughing UK.
