The second edition of the Italian Global Series Festival will host the international premiere of the new U.K. detective drama Benidorm Is Murder.
Previously announced under the title Death in Benidorm, the series follows Dennis, a former detective attempting to leave his troubled past behind. After relocating to the Spanish coastal resort of Benidorm to run a bar and enjoy a quieter life, Dennis finds himself drawn back into investigative work when tourists begin turning up dead under mysterious circumstances.
Benidorm Is Murder stars John Hannah as Dennis, alongside Carolina Bécquer as Rosa, a barmaid and devoted crime drama fan who encourages him to take on the investigations. Hannah is also expected to attend the show’s launch at the festival.
