AMC Global Media has acquired the U.S. streaming rights to the thriller series Kill Jackie, starring Catherine Zeta-Jones. The eight-episode series is set to premiere exclusively on AMC+ this fall.

In addition to leading the cast, Catherine Zeta-Jones also serves as an executive producer. Kill Jackie is a co-production between Steel Springs Pictures and Fremantle and is based on the bestselling novel The Price You Pay by Nick Harkaway, writing under the pen name Aidan Truhen.

The story follows Jackie Price, who has spent years living anonymously after escaping her criminal past, only to find herself targeted by a deadly squad of assassins known as “The Seven Demons.” Forced to confront her past, Jackie must rely on her old instincts to survive and eliminate those hunting her.

The creative team includes Conor Keane, Tom Butterworth, and Peter Lawson, with Damon Thomas serving as lead director. Butterworth also serves as the series’ writer and showrunner.

The ensemble cast features Daniel Ings, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Ron Perlman, Bill Paterson, Óscar Jaenada, Hattie Hook, and many others.

Dan McDermott, Chief Content Officer of AMC Global Media, described Kill Jackie as a strong addition to AMC+’s premium scripted slate, praising Catherine Zeta-Jones’ commanding lead performance as one of the series’ biggest strengths.

Fremantle will handle international distribution outside the United States, while production took place in Spain’s Bizkaia region.
