Josh Lucas has joined the cast of Discretion, Paramount+’s upcoming legal thriller from A24.
He will star alongside Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning, playing Greg, a lawyer who is married to Kidman’s powerful corporate law partner while also working at the same prestigious law firm.
Fanning will portray Lenny, a summer associate whose world is turned upside down when she discovers that the very non-disclosure agreement (NDA) she is investigating also binds her, complicating her mentor-protégé relationship with Kidman’s character.
Created as an eight-episode legal thriller, Discretion centers on a prestigious corporate law firm where a web of secrets and NDAs drives the story. The series is written and executive produced by Chandler Baker, with Susannah Grant also serving as an executive producer.
Discretion marked the first major acquisition under Paramount+’s new leadership following Paramount’s merger with Skydance, securing a straight-to-series order after a competitive bidding war.
Production is scheduled to begin later this year, with the series set to premiere on Paramount+ next year.
Nicole Kidman and Per Saari executive produce through Blossom Films, while Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, and Brittany Kahan Ward serve as executive producers via Lewellen Pictures. Joe Hipps and Jordan Cerf are also executive producers, with A24 producing the series.
