Netflix has given a straight-to-series order to a new spy drama from A24, officially reuniting Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour.

Moving away from their iconic roles in Hawkins, the duo will portray an estranged father and daughter caught in a high-stakes crisis. Harbour is set to star as Matt Wolfe, a disgraced FBI agent turned security expert who is thrust back into the bureau’s world after his daughter Rebecca (Millie Bobby Brown), now an active FBI agent, goes missing during a dangerous mission.

The unfolding investigation forces Wolfe to navigate a radically transformed intelligence landscape. Written and executive produced by acclaimed scribe Jack Thorne, known for Adolescence and Lord of the Flies, the currently unnamed thriller counts Brown among its executive producers alongside A24.

While the project is generating massive industry buzz, an official production timeline and premiere date have yet to be announced.

“We are delighted to bring this spy drama to life with an extraordinary group of talent we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with before,” Jinny Howe, Netflix’s head of scripted series for the US and Canada.

“Jack Thorne’s ability to find the deeply human story inside a thriller is unmatched, and watching Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour reunite – this time as estranged father and daughter on opposite sides of a crisis – is something audiences are going to love.”
