Hulu is locking in the ensemble for its highly anticipated legal thriller series Conviction.

The streaming platform has officially added four new actors to the project, rounding out a high-profile lineup led by Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss.

Three-time Tony Award nominee Linda Emond (The Gilded Age, Only Murders in the Building) has boarded the series as a regular. Joining the cast in recurring guest star roles are Zainab Jah (The Continental), Ashley Zukerman (Succession, Silo), and Jose Zúñiga (Griselda, Narcos: Mexico). They join previously announced cast members Jimmi Simpson, Sebastian De Souza, and Adam Godley.

Based on the bestselling novel by Jack Jordan, Conviction centers on Neve Harper (Moss), a brilliant and confident defense attorney who finally lands her dream, career-making case: defending a husband accused of murdering his wife by setting their family home ablaze. However, the stakes turn lethal when a mysterious stranger begins blackmailing Neve. To protect her own dark secrets from being exposed, she is forced to shatter every legal, moral, and ethical boundary to secure an acquittal.

The series is being adapted for the screen by acclaimed showrunner David Shore (House, The Good Doctor), who serves as executive producer alongside Erin Gunn under his Shore Z Productions banner. Moss will also executive produce via Love & Squalor Pictures alongside Lindsey McManus. Industry veteran Warren Littlefield (The Handmaid’s Tale) is set to executive produce for The Littlefield Co. alongside Ann Johnson and Lisa Harrison.

Produced by 20th Television, where both Shore and Littlefield maintain overall deals, Conviction is shaping up to be one of Hulu’s most intense psychological legal dramas yet. Production timelines and a release window are expected to be announced in the coming months.
