Barcelona-based distributor Limonero Films has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to Bock Saga, an original four-part true-crime docuseries produced by the Finnish production company Parad Media.
Ahead of its official premiere on Finland’s public broadcaster YLE on July 27, the series has already locked in impressive pre-sales with top Nordic networks, including NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden, and DR in Denmark.
The docuseries takes a deep dive into the bizarre, obsession-fueled world of Ior Bock, a self-proclaimed mystic who claimed his lineage were the ultimate custodians of Finland’s ancient pagan culture. Five years in the making, the production follows a surreal global trajectory that takes viewers from trance parties in Goa and underground clubs in Berlin to California and the dense Finnish woods, where an underground temple is rumored to hide a staggering €20 billion treasure.
To capture this mind-bending collision of myth and reality, Bock Saga seamlessly blends real-time investigations with rare archival footage and unique animation techniques. Recognizing its massive breakout potential, the boutique distributor will officially launch the series to international buyers at the upcoming Sunny Side of the Doc market in France.
