Celebrated actress Niecy Nash, widely recognized for her roles in All’s Fair and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, is officially moving into the true-crime genre by partnering with her daughter, Dia Nash, to launch an original video podcast series.

The mother-daughter duo has signed a deal with Pave Studios, a content company founded by former Spotify executive Max Cutler, to produce the weekly show, which will debut under the studio’s specialized Crime House brand.

The currently untitled series will focus heavily on “crimes of passion,” digging deep into real-life cases driven by intimacy and betrayal among romantic partners, exes, spouses, and lovers. In each weekly episode, the pair will share their personal commentary and reactions as they unpack these tragic and complex events.

This transition is a natural fit for Niecy Nash, who is no stranger to crime-centric television after years of starring in law enforcement roles and procedurals, including The Rookie, its spinoff The Rookie: Feds, the comedy Reno 911!, and Ryan Murphy’s acclaimed Netflix true-crime drama Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
