Content Partners and Radial Entertainment are teaming up to produce 20 new episodes of the landmark true crime series Forensic Files. Announced at MIPCOM in Cannes on October 14, 2026, the new season will retain the franchise’s signature case-by-case format, with a continued focus on forensic science and evidence-based investigations.

ITV America to Produce New Episodes

Under the agreement, Content Partners and Radial Entertainment will jointly finance the new season and share production oversight, while Radial will handle worldwide distribution. ITV America, part of ITV Studios, will produce the episodes. The company’s unscripted credits include Love Island USA, The First 48, Hell’s Kitchen and Alone.

“Forensic Files helped define true crime television, and its focus on science and evidence continues to resonate with one of the most loyal audiences in the genre,” said David Buoymaster, chief investment officer at Radial Entertainment.

Building on a Legacy in True Crime

Content Partners acquired the Forensic Files catalog, comprising 400 episodes across 14 seasons, in 2024. Since then, the company has expanded the franchise’s reach through licensing and adaptations. Radial Entertainment has also been developing its original programming slate, including the recently announced revival of The FBI Files.

The new season of Forensic Files brings together Content Partners’ ownership of the franchise and Radial’s global distribution capabilities, with both companies aiming to build on the series’ established audience.

Scott Hemming, executive vice president at Content Partners, said the partnership would bring new investigations to viewers while preserving the scientific detail and clarity that have defined the series.

ITV America executive producer Shawn Witt added that the team looks forward to carrying the franchise’s legacy forward with new investigations.

Executive producers for Radial Entertainment are David Buoymaster, Cristina Guggino and Katie Carroll. Steve Kram, Scott Hemming and John Mass serve as executive producers for Content Partners, while Shawn Witt, Jordana Hochman and Sumit David executive produce for ITV America.
