Blue Ant Media is heading to MIPCOM 2026 with a new slate of true crime and crime-focused programming, spanning high-profile legal cases, digital deception, unsolved mysteries and investigations into real-world crimes.
Among the key titles of Blue Ant Media is The Trial of Alec Baldwin, a 1×120’ documentary directed by Rory Kennedy and produced by Moxie Films. The film follows Baldwin through the legal and personal fallout of the fatal shooting of Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, including his involuntary manslaughter trial and the intense media attention surrounding the case.
New True Crime Stories and Returning Favourites
Live Stream Killer (2×60’), produced by Longwave Studios and Krempelwood, examines the murder of 32-year-old Natalie McNally, who was killed at her home in Northern Ireland in 2022. The case took a digital turn when investigators discovered that a six-hour YouTube livestream apparently placing her boyfriend elsewhere had actually been pre-recorded.
Another highlight is Billion Dollar Hash Hunt (3×60’; Alibi), which follows former smuggler Billy Greer and DEA agent Rick Carter as they investigate claims that 62 tonnes of hashish, potentially worth $1 billion, remain hidden in the St. Lawrence Seaway.
The Poison Seller (1×60’; Blue Ant Studios) follows the international investigation into Kenneth Law, who was accused of mailing lethal poison to people in multiple countries. The documentary tracks the case through Law’s 2026 guilty plea and examines the legal and ethical questions surrounding the online distribution of lethal substances.
The crime slate also includes Death in the Sun (10×60’), which explores murders involving travellers and families dealing with the challenges of pursuing justice abroad.
Blue Ant is also bringing returning seasons of established crime titles to the market, including Killers: Caught on Camera Season 5 and See No Evil Season 2. Both series explore how CCTV, body-camera footage, mobile recordings and other forms of digital evidence have become increasingly important in criminal investigations.
With these new productions and returning franchises, Blue Ant Media’s MIPCOM line-up puts real-world crime and the role of technology in modern investigations at the centre of its offering.
