CBS has officially unveiled its ambitious primetime schedule for the 2026/27 broadcast season, headlined by the major announcement that the legendary NCIS universe is expanding to the Big Apple.

The network has greenlit NCIS: New York, featuring LL Cool J reprising his iconic role as Special Agent Sam Hanna. Joining the lineup alongside this high-profile spin-off are several new scripted series, including Cupertino, a Silicon Valley-based legal drama from the creators of The Good Wife.

Beyond the new additions, CBS has demonstrated strong confidence in its existing roster by renewing 19 series, ensuring the continued return of powerhouse franchises like FBI and Fire Country in addition to the spin-off. The weekly flow of the new schedule is strategically designed, with Mondays focused on FBI and CIA procedurals, while Tuesdays will become an “NCIS night” featuring the flagship series alongside both New York and the prequel Origins.
