Hulu has officially acquired My Mom’s Murder, a highly anticipated new scripted series starring Hollywood star Chloë Grace Moretz.
The premium drama is being developed and produced under a newly minted partnership between MGM Television and acclaimed television creators Meredith Lavender and Marcie Ulin.
Lavender and Ulin, who recently signed an exclusive first-look deal with MGM Television, are utilizing the new project as a cornerstone of their studio collaboration. The duo is best known to global audiences as the showrunners and executive producers behind HBO Max’s smash-hit phenomenon The Flight Attendant, which dominated streaming charts as the platform’s number-one show and secured multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, and WGA nominations.
While specific plot details for My Mom’s Murder are currently being kept under wraps, the project is already generating significant industry buzz due to its powerhouse creative team and the casting of Moretz, who is well-known for anchoring intense, character-driven thrillers.
“Meredith and Marcie are exceptional storytellers with a proven ability to create bold, emotionally resonant series that connect with audiences in a meaningful way,” said Lindsay Sloane, Head of MGM Television, expressing her enthusiasm for the creators’ ability to deliver premium storytelling with unforgettable characters.
In addition to their work on My Mom’s Murder, Lavender and Ulin are currently serving as consulting producers on Amazon and Temple Hill’s upcoming series Rose Hill. Production and release timelines for My Mom’s Murder on Hulu are expected to be announced in the coming months.
