AMC Global Media-owned digital streaming platform Acorn TV has officially renewed the murder-mystery drama series You’re Killing Me, starring Brooke Shields, for a second season.

Again set in the quaint Maine town of Founder’s Cove, the upcoming season will consist of six 30-minute episodes, with production scheduled to begin later this year.

You’re Killing Me follows a bestselling novelist, played by Shields, who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer and podcaster, portrayed by Amalia Williamson, to find the killer of a close friend.

According to data shared by the streamer, the show has become a breakout hit, breaking records as Acorn TV’s number-one series launch of all time in terms of both viewership and new subscriber acquisition.

The second season renewal was announced by co-stars Brooke Shields and Amalia Williamson during a panel at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas, while the show’s first season continues to launch new episodes every Monday ahead of its finale on June 22.
