MEGA Distributions is taking Collision, a new eight-part psychological thriller, crime and legal drama from the creative team behind Silent Road, to the international content market. Following buyer interest at MIPCOM 2026, the MEGA TV production aims to build on the growing international reach of Greek scripted series.

What Is Collision About?

Written by Melina Tsampani and Petros Kalkovalis, the duo behind Silent Road, Collision begins with a fatal car crash that draws a lawyer into a case with increasingly personal consequences.

Across eight episodes, the series explores a high-stakes legal investigation shaped by manipulation, deception, love and the uncertain boundary between evidence and belief. At the centre of the mystery is Philippos, played by Dimitris Kapouranis, who stands accused of the crime. The story deliberately leaves room for audiences to question whether he is a victim or a perpetrator.

“Collision begins with our shared need for justice”, say writers Melina Tsampani and Petros Kalkovalis. “But when a case gets out in the open, the pressure of public opinion mounts, the desire for catharsis becomes personal, and the line between truth and lies begins to blur”.

The writers also describe Philippos as the most complex character they have developed for the series, explaining that his behaviour needed to remain convincing from both perspectives without resolving the question of his guilt or innocence.

Who Stars in the Greek Drama Collision?

The ensemble cast brings together performers with experience across Greek theatre, cinema and international productions.

Kapouranis plays Philippos and is a recipient of Greece’s Dimitris Horn Award for Best Young Stage Actor. Eliza Skolidi, a Melina Mercouri Award nominee, plays the lawyer drawn into the case. Maria Nafpliotou appears as the victim’s mother, while Nikos Psarras plays the victim’s father. Nafpliotou was featured in Ilya Khrzhanovsky’s DAU project, presented at the Venice Film Festival, while Psarras has appeared in Costa-Gavras’s Adults in the Room and US television series including The Shield and Guiding Light.

What Is the International Potential of Collision?

Collision attracted buyers’ interest during MIPCOM 2026 in October, ahead of its wider international market launch by MEGA Distributions. The series follows Silent Road, the previous crime thriller by Tsampani and Kalkovalis, which has travelled to markets including Italy, the US, Canada and Australia.

Kostas Sousoulas, Chief Content and Programming Officer at MEGA Channel, said: “As soon as I read the script, I knew Collision was a story built to connect with audiences. Following the worldwide success of Silent Road, the creative team has delivered another gripping narrative that transfers universal themes to the screen through sharp storytelling and raw emotion. This is exactly the kind of story we want to invest in”.

MEGA Distributions, the international sales arm of Alter Ego Media, represents the premium catalogue of MEGA TV. The Greek broadcaster has invested in original productions for more than three decades, with its distribution division positioning local stories for international audiences through titles that combine distinctive cultural settings with universal themes.
