Matt Rogers has joined the cast of Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2, the Prime Video spy series.
He is set to play one of the “Mr. Smith” roles, though character details are being kept under wraps.
He joins a growing Season 2 ensemble that also includes Francesca Scorsese, Mark Eydelshteyn, and Talia Ryder. Unlike some of the other additions, Rogers is not expected to be paired directly with Scorsese as a couple in the storyline.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith Season 2 is currently in production in Los Angeles, with filming having started in April 2026. The series is being developed as a reimagining of the 2005 film, created by Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane, with Anna Ouyang Moench serving as showrunner for the new season.
The first season of Mr. & Mrs. Smith earned strong critical reception, including 16 Emmy nominations and 2 wins.
