Peacock has successfully acquired the series adaptation rights to author Andrea Mara’s latest bestselling novel, Such a Nice Girl, following a highly competitive bidding process.
Such a Nice Girl marks the third collaboration for the creative powerhouse behind Peacock’s breakout hit All Her Fault, reuniting writer and executive producer Megan Gallagher with Carnival Films and Universal International Studios.
The team’s previous success, All Her Fault, starring Sarah Snook, launched to massive acclaim last November, amassing 45 million hours viewed in its first four weeks to become Peacock’s biggest original debut to date, while also ranking as Sky’s highest-performing drama of 2025.
The gripping plot of Such a Nice Girl follows two best friends, Siobhan and Grace, who discover blood and an abandoned phone in their daughters’ room the morning after a luxurious wedding. As buried secrets and lies gradually unravel, they are forced to face the shocking realization that their daughters were never actually friends, leading to a devastating premise where one girl is dead and the other is suspected of murder.
Gallagher and Mara will serve as executive producers alongside Carnival Films’ Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant. This exciting new development follows closely on the heels of the same creative team receiving a greenlight from Peacock for The Break-In a limited series adaptation of the novel by Katherine Faulkner.
