A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, which redefined the “cosy-crime” genre for a new generation, is officially returning for its highly anticipated second season.
Based on Holly Jackson’s bestselling novels, the series sees Wednesday star Emma Myers reprise her role as Pip Fitz-Amobi, who finds herself thrust into a race against time that feels far more personal than her last case.
Netflix has confirmed that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder will return for Season 2 on May 27, 2026. While the series originated as a BBC production, its status as a global Netflix Top 10 leader has turned this upcoming installment into one of the most anticipated international releases of the spring.
The new season picks up in the aftermath of the Andie Bell investigation. While Pip is determined to stay away from the world of amateur sleuthing and focus on Max Hastings’ upcoming trial, the sudden and mysterious disappearance of her friend Connor’s brother, Jamie, forces her back into action.
The return of the series follows its record-breaking success, where it solidified its status as BBC iPlayer’s most-watched drama among the 16–24 demographic and became the highest-rated drama on BBC Three since its linear relaunch. Joining Emma Myers in this darker, high-stakes chapter are returning cast members Rahul Pattni and India Lillie Davies, alongside new additions Henry Ashton, Jude Morgan-Collie, and Eden H Davies.
To celebrate the announcement, Netflix has released a gripping new trailer and first-look images, teasing an atmospheric season where Pip must navigate the fallout of her previous discoveries while pushing her limits to solve a disappearance that the authorities seem unable to handle.
