The partnership between Harlan Coben and Netflix continues to thrive as production officially begins on The Woods, an adaptation of one of the author’s most acclaimed novels.
Following the massive global success of Fool Me Once, Michelle Keegan is set to reunite with the Harlan Coben universe, starring alongside Tom Bateman, known for his role in Behind Her Eyes. The story centers on Paul ‘Cope’ Copeland (Bateman), a man whose life was shattered twenty years ago when his sister, Camille, vanished from a summer camp.
The discovery of a fresh body, linked to the same night his sister disappeared, reignites Cope’s hope that Camille might still be alive, pulling him into a web of long-buried family secrets and deep-seated lies.
The series boasts a talented ensemble cast including Mandeep Dhillon, James Buckley, Amelia Eve, and veteran actor Rade Sherbedgia, with comedian Tom Allen also joining the production. Behind the scenes, Coben is once again collaborating with longtime creative partner Danny Brocklehurst (Fool Me Once, Lazarus), while Quay Street Productions handles the development.
As the 14th project to emerge from Harlan Coben’s prolific multi-year deal with Netflix, The Woods follows in the footsteps of the January hit Run Away, promising the signature twists and high-stakes drama that have made Coben’s thrillers a global television staple.
