For years, Harlan Coben’s partnership with Netflix has felt like a grand European tour.
From the suburban mysteries of the UK in The Stranger to the gritty streets of Poland in Hold Tight and the sunny yet deceptive locales of Spain in The Innocent, Harlan Coben has mastered the art of the localized thriller. But for his next act, the master of the “final twist” is returning to familiar soil. I Will Find You, based on his 2023 bestseller, marks the first series in this collaboration to be set entirely in the United States.
At the center of this eight-episode odyssey is Sam Worthington (Avatar), taking on the role of David Burroughs. The premise is classic Harlan Coben, yet devastatingly intimate: a father is serving a life sentence for the murder of his own son, a crime he didn’t commit, but a tragedy for which he punishes himself every day.

When a sliver of hope emerges that his son might still be alive, the story pivots from a somber prison drama into a high-octane fugitive thriller. David’s escape from prison isn’t just about freedom; it’s a desperate race against a world built on deceit to reclaim a life that was stolen.
Showrunner Robert Hull (Quantum Leap) has assembled what can only be described as a prestige TV ensemble. Britt Lower (Severance) and Milo Ventimiglia (This Is Us) bring a layer of emotional gravitas that suggests I Will Find You will be as much about character study as it is about plot twists. With heavyweights like Madeleine Stowe and Clancy Brown in the mix, the series promises to explore the “dark secrets” of prominent Boston families with the cinematic scale that Harlan Coben’s readers have come to expect.
I Will Find You is set to find its audience on June 18.
