Leading UK-based distributor DCD Rights has announced that it has acquired the international distribution rights for the brand new Australian drama series Fortitude Valley, which is set to launch later this year.
Newly announced by Australia’s national broadcaster ABC, the gripping crime thriller Fortitude Valley stars award-winning British actor Rupert Everett, best known for his roles in Rivals and My Best Friend’s Wedding, alongside a strong supporting cast including Hunter Page-Lochard and Kat Stewart.
Set in Queensland’s capital city of Brisbane, the six-part mini-series explores deep family secrets, the corrupting force of power, and the complicated truths behind lies. Fortitude Valley is created, written, and executive produced by Stephen M. Irwin and Leigh McGrath, the creative minds famously known for the hit series Harrow.
Speaking from the set during production, Rupert Everett expressed his immense excitement about filming in such a beautiful city, sharing that working alongside such talented actors and a fantastic crew has truly upped his game and made him feel incredibly lucky.
