Netflix has confirmed production of its new Korean crime drama series, Paper Man (WT), and unveiled the show’s main cast.

The series follows Cha Myung-jo, an ordinary man who works for a company producing imitation character stickers and leads an unremarkable life. However, everything changes when he creates a counterfeit banknote so flawless that it is indistinguishable from the real thing, drawing him into a dangerous and unexpected world.

Blending crime-thriller suspense with family drama, Paper Man explores themes of money, desire, social status, and the blurred boundaries between what society considers “real” and “fake.” The series is directed by Lee Il-hyung, known for Karma and A Violent Prosecutor.

Cho Jung-seok stars as Cha Myung-jo, portraying the character’s transformation from an overlooked family man into someone consumed by dangerous ambition. Park Hae-soo takes on the role of Oh Seung-eop, a relentless investigator from the Korea Mint’s Anti-Counterfeiting Division determined to track him down. Claudia Kim plays Ko Hye-seok, Myung-jo’s accomplished judge wife, whose seemingly perfect life conceals personal and family challenges of its own.

With its high-profile cast and compelling crime-driven storyline, Paper Man is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s most anticipated upcoming Korean productions. A release date has not yet been announced.
